Where are you from? Northern Ohio, near Cleveland
How did you meet your spouse? We met when we were 19 at a party for a mutual friend at a park.
If you could only listen to one musical genre what would it be? 90’s country or Christian rock
If you were stranded on an island and could only have one food with you, what would it be? Steak
What sports/teams do you follow/root for most? Gymnastics is a favorite to watch. Other than that, I cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports teams.
What are your top 3 hobbies? Hiking, playing games with my family, and creative design projects
Outside of the Bible what is your favorite book? The Mark of the Lion Trilogy by Francine Rivers
If you could only have one book of the Bible what would it be? Why? Isaiah. I love how it both reaches back and also points forward to Jesus… such specific prophecies about Him and also comforting reminders about the presence of God.
What’s one bit of wisdom someone has passed onto you that you think everyone should hear? No matter how many steps away from God you’ve taken, it’s always only one step back.
How old were you when you felt called to serve in the way you do? In my 20s
How did you first become aware of that call? Through meeting needs and learning that I enjoyed bringing organization to ministries and helping things run smoothly.
What excites you in your ministry? Seeing kids thrive in a nurturing environment where they can learn of and respond to God’s love for them and seeing volunteers blessed as they use their gifts.
