“Beast mode.” Sportscasters use this phrase to describe a player who’s playing on a much higher level than he or she usually does. In this passage Jesus sets the bar for his followers impossibly high. Then he tells us to reach it: Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you! Sounds like love in beast mode to me. Better yet, God mode. And it is only possible for those who are born again and walking in the power of the Spirit. In this message we’ll talk about Strong Love (which overcomes evil with good), Supernatural Love (which looks up before it looks out) , and Sober Love (which looks in before it looks out).
