Where are you from? I was born and raised in Bloomington, California.
How did you meet your spouse? I met my wife in High School. We were married in 1974 and have 3 sons, 17 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
If you could only listen to one musical genre what would it be? Christian music for sure—Chris Tomlin is one of my favorites.
If you were stranded on an island and could only have one food with you, what would it be? Burrito it is!
What sports/teams do you follow/root for most? I have no favorite teams. I like football.
What are your top 3 hobbies? I enjoy hiking, reptiles and landscaping, ATVs.
Outside of the Bible what is your favorite book? I enjoy teaching books… like landscaping, mechanics, etc.
If you could only have one book of the Bible what would it be? Why? The book of Revelation. I love end times studies.
What’s one bit of wisdom someone has passed onto you that you think everyone should hear? I remember wise words of a pastor saying we as Christians need to live as though we are immortal… because we’re not going anywhere until God is finished with us.
How old were you when you felt called to serve in the way you do? I was probably in my late 30s when I felt the Lord calling me to grow in Him more. I wanted to serve Him by helping others as needed.
How did you first become aware of that call? Twenty years ago, a pastor in California asked me to lead a small group for men, which was a big step for me. It grew me and I made many new friends. The Lord is so good. He stretched me.
What excites you in your ministry? I love to see people coming to the Lord and growing in faith. I’m always amazed at God’s perfect timing placing me where I need to be and to share the Good News and help anyone in need.
