What’s one bit of wisdom someone has passed onto you that you think everyone should hear? Measure twice, cut once. -My Pop. I use it especially after reading “be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger” (James 1:19)
How old were you when you felt called to serve in the way you do? 16, and 17
How did you first become aware of that call? Unawares that pastors and youth leaders were pushing me that way, (invited by my pastor, also a Scott, to be a youth delegate to a district assembly) the youth delegates were invited to pray at the altar. I felt the push, wanted to yell and scream about how stoopid youth are, and took 6 months to tell the church leadership. It was when Pastor Scott was leading me and friend through the basics of biblical Greek in his office that I confessed it. “Of course! Why do you think Dennis, Chris, and I kept pushing you into ministry roles?!”
What excites you in your ministry? People asking questions seeking true answers (and responding well, especially!)
