How did you meet your spouse? I met Kendra when we served as summer staff at UCYC in Prescott.
If you could only listen to one musical genre what would it be? Bluegrass/Folk… Hymns in this style are awesome!
If you were stranded on an island and could only have one food with you, what would it be? Variety is the spice of life, so sandwiches because I can put anything on them.
What sports/teams do you follow/root for most? The USA during the Olympics. I also follow the snack table during Super Bowl parties.
What are your top 3 hobbies? Swimming, audiobooks, and sleeping
Outside of the Bible, what is your favorite book? The Princess Bride
If you could only have one book of the Bible what would it be? Why? Matthew because it is the longest of the gospels.
What’s one bit of wisdom someone has passed onto you that you think everyone should hear? Deferred gratification. Most problems cease to be problems when you have a long-term perspective.
How old were you when you felt called to serve in the way you do? My journey has been gradual. I serve where I am needed and I don’t usually see how God led me to that role until after the fact.
How did you first become aware of that call? Scott asked if I wanted to be an elder.
What excites you in your ministry? The opportunities to teach.
