He Clinched the Nails: Security in Jesus (selections from John 6 &10)

(Audio message at bottom of post)

A good carpenter sometimes has to clinch a nail to make it secure. That means after he drives it in, he turns over the two pieces of wood he is connecting and bends the nail with his hammer so it can’t slide out. When it comes to our connection with Jesus,  trials, temptations, emotions, and fears can make any believer wonder, “Is it possible that somehow I’ve been disconnected from him?” “Will he ever let me go?”, “Am I really secure in him?” “How can I know?”  In the audio message below,  we will check out some unbreakable promises that Jesus makes to all who genuinely trust in him. As you listen, scroll through the pictures to see with your eyes how his promises are like nails driven in and clinched, never to come out again. We’ll also talk about how knowing this assuring truth should change your walk with Him. (Thanks to the late James Montgomery Boice for the illustration.)
